Please enroll children based on their age as of their first class.

Baby Gym (co ed ages 2-12 months)

Through the help of our staff, you will nurture your little one from the earliest motions of massage and rocking through the development of rolling, sitting, clapping, crawling, standing and beyond! Baby Gym classes incorporate music and movement at the most basic level, including post-natal exercises for Mom (although Dads are welcome, too.) Join us for this special bonding time filled with fun & friendships.

Parent/Tots  (co-ed ages 1-4)
Quality instruction with parent supervision.
Our Parent/Tot classes give toddlers a head start in fitness and social development.  Through the help of our staff, you can teach your child to explore the world around him in new and exciting ways.  Children are developing rapidly during these first years and early development stimulates learning skills.  Your child may roll down a padded incline, swing on tiny bars, possibly stop for a game of hoops then, it’s off to the trampoline or the ever popular “pit”!  Help your child boldly go where no toddler has gone before!
40 Minute Classes
Mon. 7:00, Tues. 9:40a, 6:00, Wed. 9:40a, 7:00,   Thurs. 10:30a, Fri. 9:40a, Sat. 9:10a

Tumbleweeds  (co-ed ages 3-5)

Learning through FUN is the goal of our Tumbleweeds!  Our professionally structured program is designed to develop motor and social skills, but our Tumbleweeds would never know it!  In addition to gymnastics, students are exposed to basic skills in soccer, tennis, football, golf, plus music & more.  By exposing your child to a variety of skills, we are laying the base for a positive athletic future, no matter what the sport.  Tumbleweeds also learn social skills such as sharing, taking turns, and cooperation, which are quite valuable for someone looking ahead to Kindergarten!

SCHOOL AGE GYMNASTICS

Some experts say that the greatest benefits of gymnastics are physical: the amazing power, the unparalleled balance, injury prevention, and grace. Others say the benefits are to the mind: the perseverance, the poise, the confidence, the attention to detail, the concentration. At Salem Gymnastics Sports Center, we've known since 1980, without a doubt, that both are true. In fact, gymnastics training is a requisite for all kids who want to be the best they can be in life.

Students new to gymnastics should enroll in Funtastic Gymnastics.  Tumbleweed graduates should enroll in Funtastic or check with their instructor for a referral.  Students with prior gymnastics experience should call the office to schedule an evaluation.

Funtastic Gymnastics  (co-ed ages 5-14)

Gymnastics for fun and fitness!  Funtastic students learn gymnastics and fitness skills on all Olympic apparatus plus Tumble-Trak.  They are encouraged with praise to develop their listening skills, ability to follow directions, and imaginations.  Creative themes in our curriculum make every class entertaining as well as educational.  A lot of smiles and a little sweat is our goal!  It’s great exercise for school-aged kids, and it’s a lot of FUN too!
